About me

Hello everyone and welcome to my new Blog!

My name is Patrizia and I really would love to show you some of my artworks. I'm not a professional, but I would like to become professional. In this Blog I would like to show you how my artworks evolve. There will be some paintings with different materials and also sketches. Since I do not have anyone teaching me how to paint, I will work with different Books, so some of my artworks are not my own idea. It would help me really much, if you could comment my artworks, so I can improve myself better. So feel free to comment and criticize my pictures or give me some new ideas!
I'm happy that I have the opportunity to show my artwork to you.
Thanks for visiting my Blog.

This picture is a selfportrait with watercolor. It's the first watercolor-portrait I have painted and I think it is quite ok for that ;) I'm not satisfied with the proportions, the eyes are a little bit to high and at the chin you can see that I had some problems with symmetry (and I think my face is more symmetric than this picture ^^)  So if you have some critic or tips, feel free to help me :D

Wallpainting

This is my first wallpainting. It was much fun to do this artwork. I've drawn it in the old house of my grandmother, she died 2016 and since then the house was empty. This selfportrait is 2.30m hight and 1.72m wide. It took 2 days to paint it.

Nude drawing

Every artist should be able to draw nude drawings. However it's really hard to get the proportions right, the human body is such a complex thing... you could spend much time studying the anatomy just to learn to draw. I have no idea about anatomy, so I took pictures from a drawingbook as reference. I decided to draw female nudes here but I have also drawn some nudes of men, I will show them in an other post :)

Two girls on a poppyfield

This painting shows two girls (technically me and my little sister) in a poppyfield. When I was about 8 years old we moved to another house. Before my parents created a garden, a lot of wild poppies grew behind the house. It was the perfect playground for my siblings and me. A few days ago, I found this picture in my photo collection and thought it would be a great motive to paint. So I took my watercolors and this was the result.
