Old Bridge of Heidelberg

So this is my second wallpainting. Since I study an life in Heidelberg, I liked to draw the famous old bridge of Heidelberg with the castle in the background. This artwork is 2.3m high and 3.16m wide, it is the biggest painting I've made till now. I'm very happy to have the opportunity to paint on walls. It is a little bit sad that this house will be demolished, nevertheless it is a nice experience for me.

Wallpainting

This is my first wallpainting. It was much fun to do this artwork. I've drawn it in the old house of my grandmother, she died 2016 and since then the house was empty. This selfportrait is 2.30m hight and 1.72m wide. It took 2 days to paint it.

Japanese Landscape

I was looking for landscape picures and found this one . I`m a big fan of Japanese culture and I love nature so this picture inspiered me. I made an acrilc painting. The brighter parts were drawn first and the black parts in the end. I`ve drawn the torii ( traditional Japanese gate ) with a fineliner. I tried to add some sunbeams but it's hard to see them, maybe I was too careful in this part. Also the waterfall is a bit to bright, I think it's not realistic that you can see the water so clearly in the darkest part of the picture. What I find also dirsturbing is that the water in the river is not structured, there is no life, no movement and there are no reflections at all. But overall I really like that picture, I like that calming effect and the harmony in it.

Two girls on a poppyfield

This painting shows two girls (technically me and my little sister) in a poppyfield. When I was about 8 years old we moved to another house. Before my parents created a garden, a lot of wild poppies grew behind the house. It was the perfect playground for my siblings and me. A few days ago, I found this picture in my photo collection and thought it would be a great motive to paint. So I took my watercolors and this was the result.

Playing with watercolor pencils

Watercolor-paintings are so beautiful :) There are many different techniques and different material you can use, for this picture I used watercolor pencils from Faber Castell. For the picture of the fish I also used a grey marker. Watercolors are perfect for paintings with transparent objects like the jellyfish.
